Amazing game, Art of Risk of rain with At the Mountains of Madness.
(-1)

I do not believe that this game was made with godot  oO  c# or gdd? looks great!!!

gdscript :)

Do you maybe have any idea why I can't play the game? I'm always stuck on the GODOT screen

On which platform are you trying to play?

I'm on Windows 64

Same problem here, using Windows 64

I did not participate in this jam, but this looks so good that Imma try it either way, it just looks complete (aware it's not complete tho).

Love the visuals, audio, and the gameplay seems super tight from what I've played so far; however wasn't able to get past the rope section of the tutorial due to playing on a Mac with only the trackpad (seems like you can't right-click and then left-click on the trackpad to shoot the rope gun). Will definitely replay this once I can find a mouse to use with my laptop :P

Another trackpad player here. If there was a keyboard alternative to left-click I think that would do the trick!

Ok you two :)
I uploaded the latest version that I have been working on with some improvements to the player movement, fall damage, rope behaviour and ..... tada: aiming with the ALT key :)

Wow, really awesome you went to the effort to add this in! Played this for a while this morning, really great stuff. I love the visuals especially, but the movement mechanics are super satisfying too.

It's easy to tell this was a major labour of love from you. Can't wait to see what else you work on in the future!

Now I can't blame the equipment for all my deaths :D

Well done on the jam, well deserved!

Haha, thanks...

Well, there are some strange things, at the moment I refractor the whole player movement.

Cool and interesting looking game. The music,  sound effects and the visuals are great. I had a difficult time moving around, as it felt like the movement speed was turned up to twise of what I would have prefered. As I kept falling off the edge of the ledges and into my death. I think it's really cool that you went for a mountain climbing game where you got a rope launcher and the possibility to climb up the side of the walls.

I agree if you continue to work on it, I think it would be nice to add some player adventage like in a celeste (coyote jump etc).

There are already some in there...

You get a small drone that acts as a flashlight and bonus air.

But yeah, additions to the movesets would be cool! I have tons of ideas... But we'll see!

Hi Picster

Good luck on your submission! I was wondering if you've considered making Bottomless into a full game? If you're interested I highly suggest you check out our site. Your title might be a good fit for our catalog.

Amazing work! Love the art, lighting and rope stuff. Checkpoints could be nice in the tutorial so you don't have to restart every time?

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Do you mean checkpoints in the game or in the tutorial?

I meant the tutorial mainly, just so players don't get tooo frustrated whilst figuring it out :)

Wow, first off this game visually, is stunning.

Second, the climbing is real fun! I just tried it for like 15mins, and I'm still getting the hang of it, but it seems challenging and it works!

I know you are still gonna add information, but I played it without instructions and after trial and error the only thing I couldn't figure out is the "rope gun". I can shoot it, but then don't know what to do :D

The only "bad" critic I would say is the echo sound. I got the idea, and it's a really cool one, but very early on it gets a bit annoying because it's so loud, and everything echos so it gets a little noisy and clustered. It's really a minor thing because after a while, I could ignore it.

Very fun and cool idea! I still plan on collecting all the pieces ;)

Congrats!!!

Hey!

Thanks a lot for the feedback :)
Check out the latest version, I made a lot of changes - tuned down the sound effect a lot and also added a tutorial to make controls clearer.

Rope mechanics have also changed, now it's much more fun and straight-foreward :)
