Result of the Jam and the next steps
Hey everyone!
First things first: Thanks to all of you who voted at the Godot Wild Jam, not just for our entry, but for all entries!
Such events live from participation and exchange. Keep on jammin'! :)
And a big THANK you for voting our entry so high, it made the overall #1 place, of course we really happy about that!
So, how will this project continue?
I got a lot of feedback and it was also visible in the voting results: Controls and player movement are a big issue that I have to tackle.
But I have some more things on my list:
- Player controls
- Game feel (expecially movement)
- Communication / Feedback (Why is there a timer? Why can I only carry one artefact at a time? What do I have to do with the artefact? What is the goal?
- Bugs, bugs, bugs
In the next version I will enable a logging file. If something crashes or the game is not working at all, you can send me the file and hopefully I will get a bit smarter and can fix the bug in the next version :)
My plan is to (mostly) feature freeze until the game feels good and the controls are set.
But.... you know... features are fun :)
I'm working on a swinging rope that could be a potential unlock.
And speaking of unlocks, I would love to really make a game out of this jam entry. But we will see and I will keep you updated.
Cheers
Raffa
